Everyone in the theater was looking at Ethan. One thousand eyes staring at him and waiting. They were waiting because Ethan had forgotten his next line, he forgot what he was supposed to say!

 

剧场里所有的观众都在看着Ethan。一千只眼睛注视着，等待着。他们在等着忘了台词的Ethan继续表演。

 

It had started out well when he first entered onstage the audience applauded his entrance, for he was the main character of the play. Ethan had started his first monologue with confidence and great energy.   

 

本来，演出开始时是很顺利的。Ethan登上舞台时，观众们报以热烈的掌声，因为他是这部剧的主要演员。Ethan以一段十分自信的独白开场，为演出赋予了巨大的能量。

 

“To be or not to be? That is the………ah…….um……” Ethan’s mind had gone blank! He couldn’t remember what to say next! It was quiet in the theater as the audience waited for Ethan to speak. 

 

“到底是，还是不是？这可真是.....呃........ 嗯.......”  Ethan的脑袋突然一片空白。他忘了下一句该说什么了！整个剧场十分安静，观众们在等待他的表演。

 

Now Ethan’s mind was racing: What am I supposed to say next? Why have I forgotten my lines? What did I eat for lunch? Why am I asking myself so many questions?.... Question! That’s the answer.

 

此刻，Ethan的脑子正在飞速运转：我到底该说什么？我怎么会忘了台词呢？午饭吃了什么？我为什么会问自己这么多问题？...问题！对了，这就是下一句！

 

“To be or not to be? That is the question.” Ethan said with great gusto and the crowd went wild. The actor’s bad day was over. 

 

“到底是，还是不是？这可真是个问题。”  Ethan带着极大的热情念出了接下来的台词，观众为他沸腾。考验演员的一刻过去了。
